6 Must Have Food Items to Complete Your Holi Celebrations

Like any other Indian festival, food is an important part of the celebration of Holi. Without the right kind of food items, your Holi festival is incomplete. People wait for the entire year so that they can have all those delicious items in Holi and savor it.
So, what are these must have food items to complete your Holi? Let’s look at the list below and see if you are ready for the coming Holi festival.

1) Ghujiya: Ghujiya is a typical dish made during Holi. It is made out of white flower filled with a sweet filling of dry-fruits and dairy product known as khoya. It is the most cherished food item of the Holi festival. People typically make it at home, but these days they are widely available in the market too. There are also many variations of Ghujiya. There is one type which is the dry Ghujiya. But there is another one that is dipped in sugar syrup after they are made. After the sugar coating on the Ghujiya dries up, it tastes like heaven. In short, a Holi festival is incomplete without Ghujiya. So, if you don’t feel like making it at home, buy some from the shops and enjoy your Holi.


2) Dahi Vada: Dahi Vada is another tasteful delight during the festival of Holi. It is made out of lentils. After making a paste of the Urad dal, you make small balls out of it and deep fry it in a pan. Once the calls are ready, you dip them in sweet yogurt and wait until they are soft. 4) Puran Poli: Puran Poli is another sweet delight that can complete your Holi celebration just perfectly. It is a sweetflatbread loaded with sugar or jaggery. You can also choose to have dry fruits, grated dry coconut or nutmeg in it. No matter how you make it, you will love it for sure. It is originally from the South of India but has gained popularity in both southern as well as northern parts of India. We are Indians,and we appreciate good food. 5) Malpua: Malpua is another heavenly food item specially made on the occasion of Holi. It is made out of crushed banana, white flour, chunks of coconut and sugar. It can be called as the Indian counterpart of pancakes but only tastier. There are many variations of Malpua too. You can have it after dipping into thesugar syrup and after it soaks all the sugary liquid in it. Moreover,
