Japanese Cultural Festival
Experience some Japanese culture and celebrations with Japanese Cultural Festival organized by Somaiya Vidyavihar along with the Japanese Teachers’ Association.
The highlights of the festival are several unique Japanese traditions: demonstrations of the tea ceremony, Ikebana (flower arrangement), sampling of Japanese food and henna tattoos of Japanese characters. There will be performances by Japanese language students as well as by Japanese children and expatriates. There will also be a sale of books related to Japan and Japanese culture.

Special Shravan Festival

QFest celebrates queer creativity and entrepreneurship. It’s a daylong celebration of arts and culture that focuses on encouraging people of any sexuality.
- Queeroscope which will explore Queer Lives in India on screen. A screening of Dunno Y; the International version and not the Indian one that is censored. The cast of the film are Yuvraaj Parashar and Kapil Sharma.
- Qatha celebrates emerging artists, the story-tellers; showcasing their queer-identified works on film and/or performance. This month we will focus on Pradipta Ray.
- QConversations: An attempt to open up dialogue, break down taboo and allow for meaningful positive discussions on queer lives in India.
- First Anniversary Party will include the Rainbow Mic
