Risotto Food Festival

From 6th to 13th September, 2015, guests will be treated with a never-experienced-before Risotto Food Festival at Fratelli Fresh, Renaissance Mumbai. You will be served different Risotto variants like Broken Wheat Risotto, Arborio Barollo, and Smoked Rice Risotto, Brown Risotto etc prepared in diverse and rich menu.

You must try Risotto con zucca arrosto, Grano risotto con broccoli, Arancini, Salsa di pomodoro picante, Risotto ai Fungi for vegetarians and Risotto alla valdostana, Risotto con polpette di carne di agnello, Risotto ai nero di sepia, Risotto d’orzo con pancetta for non vegetarians.

Japanese Cultural Festival

Experience some Japanese culture and celebrations with Japanese Cultural Festival organized by Somaiya Vidyavihar along with the Japanese Teachers’ Association.
The highlights of the festival are several unique Japanese traditions: demonstrations of the tea ceremony, Ikebana (flower arrangement), sampling of Japanese food and henna tattoos of Japanese characters. There will be performances by Japanese language students as well as by Japanese children and expatriates. There will also be a sale of books related to Japan and Japanese culture.

Special Shravan Festival

Queer Festival

QFest celebrates queer creativity and entrepreneurship. It’s a daylong celebration of arts and culture that focuses on encouraging people of any sexuality.

Line-up:

  • Queeroscope which will explore Queer Lives in India on screen. A screening of Dunno Y; the International version and not the Indian one that is censored. The cast of the film are Yuvraaj Parashar and Kapil Sharma.
  • Qatha celebrates emerging artists, the story-tellers; showcasing their queer-identified works on film and/or performance. This month we will focus on Pradipta Ray.
  • QConversations: An attempt to open up dialogue, break down taboo and allow for meaningful positive discussions on queer lives in India.
  • First Anniversary Party will include the Rainbow Mic

Pizzerati this one’s especially for you. Gorge on some of the amazing and unique varieties of pizza at this pizza festival. The menu will feature around 20 different and unique varieties of pizzas with an outer crust that will help you discover the local ingredients derived from different parts of the globe.

A few must try options include Cheese Me, Home Sweet Home, Mexican Chili Beans Pizza, Popeye’s Poison, Roasted Pumpkin Pizza, Peri Peri Chicken Pizza, Sawandika Chicken, Yellow Curry Chicken, Smokey Bacon Pizza .
